Nissa Newton is the human parent of Peanut (1985 – 2015), who was a beautiful, intelligent, cockatiel, whom lived into old age and received extraordinary care by way of Nissa’s huband Joe, who hand-fed her water for the last two years of her life, bathed her regularly, taught her to lay on her back to avoid bed source from her arthritic feed and made her a hammock to sleep in when she could no longer perch.  Peanut was a part of Nissa’s youth and adult life. There are so many stories that can be told about this lovely bird.  More can be found on her  Beyond Rainbow Bridge Facebook page and YouTube Channel.

Thank you for your interest in this blog and I encourage you to participate as a contributor and share this community with others.
